Senior Multi-Disciplinary Inspector City of Brentwood 07/13/2023  

This position is responsible for inspecting buildings under construction, alteration, repair, or change of occupancy to ensure conformity with city building codes.  Work also involves reviewing plans to ensure code compliance and taking appropriate enforcement actions.  Work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed in accordance with established standards and objectives.

Code Administrator/Building Official City of Hazelwood 07/10/2023

Duties include:

  • Supervise Code Enforcement officers, building inspector, and secretarial staff
  • Review the work of subordinates, evaluates work performance, recommends discipline, discharge and salary increases
  • Review construction documents and specifications for code, ordinance and administrative compliance
  • Act as Acting Building Inspector in his or her absence
  • Inspect construction of buildings and property within the City limits
  • Meet with architects, engineers, property owners and residents to interpret codes, mediate disputes and facilitate compliance with codes and permits
  • Respond to citizen questions, complaints and other issues related to code enforcement
  • Review permit applications and inspection process to determine trends and monitor compliance
  • Propose code and ordinance changes, recommend adoption of current building codes
  • Provide training to inspectors and clerical staff
  • Prepare ISO report upon rating of the Code Enforcement Division
  • Consult with City Planner and act as City planner in his or her absence
  • Act as right of way coordinator

Code Enforcement Officer (Part-Time) City of Brentwood 07/13/2023
