Permit Technician City of Lawrence, KS 03/27/2024   This position provides information to customers regarding contractor licensing, building permit and inspection requirements, and general requirements of the building permit process. This position obtains general information from customers regarding permitting needs; assists customers in completing the building permit submittal process; and responds to general customer inquiries regarding permits, permit processes and building codes. Performs limited technical building and trade code review of building permit plans, engineering documents and other permit documents for compliance with adopted building codes and other related city codes. Senior Multi-Disciplinary Inspector City of Brentwood 04/19/2024   Under direction, is responsible for inspecting buildings under construction, alteration, repair, or change of occupancy to ensure conformity with city building codes.   Work also involves reviewing plans to ensure code compliance and taking appropriate enforcement actions.  Work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed in accordance with established standards and objectives.
Building Inspector City of Hazelwood 04/19/2024   The City of Hazelwood is now accepting applications for a full time Building Inspector.  Duties include:
  • Perform construction inspections during all phases of construction, alteration and repair for adherence to plans, specifications and compliance with City codes and ordinances
  • Perform code compliance inspections of residential, commercial and industrial structures 
  • Perform commercial occupancy inspections
  • Respond to inquiries and complaints from the public, contractors and builders
  • Provide technical assistance and advice regarding building codes, laws and requirements

  • Perform disaster assessment inspections
