What You’ll Do:
- Inspect construction sites for code compliance in all building disciplines.
- Review and verify plans, permits, and construction documents.
- Ensure quality, materials, and workmanship meet city standards.
- Keep accurate inspection records and reports.
- Represent the City with integrity, professionalism, and a sharp eye for safety.
.What do you have to have to be considered?
- A High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in construction trades.
- Be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Be someone who brings integrity, initiative, and a strong work ethic—plus the ability to work independently.
- Great communication, strong organization, sound judgment, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

- Graduation from an accredited technical school program
- Prior building/code inspection experience.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The starting hourly wage is $20.66 per hour and will increase to $21.48 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.
